Before & After Restoration (Embossed Tin Trunk)

This trunk is what is called an embossed tin trunk. It has been fully restored to how it would have looked when first crafted. The estimated date of manufacture is from around 1895 – 1915. The two tone tin pattern was a common appearance for this time period. Trunk manufacturers would order the embossed tin from the manufacturer in a wide variety of patterns and colors. This trunk was painted at some point in it’s life, the paint was striped off and completely refinished.
